iPhone sales training guideMember Cindynjgirl79 from the MacRumors forum, has apparently scored a copy of the AT&T sales training manual for the iPhone.  Describing herself as neither an employee of Apple nor an employee of AT&T, and neither obtaining the guide by theft nor break-in, the MacRumors forum member sent them scans of 15 pages out of a 33 page guide.  Included with the scans were a picture of her holding the guide next to her face.

The workbook related numerous details on simple useability and sales related issues surrounding the device.  Below is a sampling of those details:

On being a "revolutionary mobile phone":

  • Touch dialing, phone favorites, auto-pause video/music during incoming call / auto-resume once call ends, sync contact info with computer (Addressbook on Mac/Outlook/Outlook Express on PC), speakerphone, talking while browsing the Internet or send e-mail (Wi-Fi only), vibrate mode

iPhone Sales Training WorkbookOn Photos, Music, and Video:

  • Sync photos on Mac and PC, make widescreen take up entire screen with double tap (autoscale), sync music with iTunes just like any other iPod, music displayed by: playlist, artist, songs, and more, MEdia Net, MobiTV, or Cellular Video are not available on iPhone

Email Features & SMS Text Messaging:

  • Rich text formatting, IMAP and POP3 support, Yahoo! Push Mail, automatic address completion, SMS text message button shows how many new messages are waiting, threaded conversations, audio alert for new messages, error correction and prevention in the keyboard (when needed), iPhone users will not be able to conduct IM conversations with instant messaging users using SMS (although it looks like iChat), does not support MMS messaging for photos or videos.
Safari Web browsing:
  • Double tap an object to make it fill the screen, and double tap to zoom out, tabbed browsing with easy switching, bookmarks transferred from Mac/PC.

Widgets & Google Maps:

  • iPhone will not support TeleNav solutions currently offered by other AT&T devices not will it support GPS as part of its existing feature set, WIDGETS: quickly check the weather or favorite stocks. Widgets do not use MEdia Net services to obtain information.
